As a Family Resource Center, ALAS provides regularly scheduled family educational workshops related to services and resources available to children, students and adults with disabilities and their families. Topics include: Parent’s Rights, Introduction to Special Education, IEP Process, IDEA, 504 Plan, Inclusion, Community Intergration, Transition, Integrated employment, self-determaination, and other services available for children with diverse abilities. ALAS also provides Parent Advocates to provide individual support to families.
